Independent Brewery – Bottle PackagingOctober 30, 2017 3:36 pm
The brief was from a small independent brewery company who wanted to create a box not only to display their bottles but also to allow customers to carry them away.
They wanted 3 bottles per box and it was important that the labelling on the bottles was shown.
Window film was discussed but the best way forward was to create a push in flap which in turn separated the bottles and showed the labels back and front.
In the end the customer decided they only wanted the front of the bottle to be shown.
The carry handle needed to be strong and we placed a small locking slit in the top to hold the top together once filled. The box needed to be supplied flat and importantly the base of the box had to be strong enough to hold the weight of the three bottles.
Once the brown prototype has been made there are a number of options to print and this has been explained to the client.
Either standard flexo inks giving the rustic look required or full 6 colour process with varnish giving the POS display look.
